OneCityYear
One28Challenge

It's time to invest in our volunteers. Our City Year Mentors each give 128 hours every month to tackling educational inequality. We're fundraising to support their personal and professional development.

Join the #One28Challenge

This June, take part in City Year UK's #One28Challenge. Walk 128 miles throughout the month of June, or spend 128 minutes each week learning a new skill, and raise money to support the development of young people across the country. Take on the challenge individually or as part of a team and help us tackle educational inequality.

“Every child deserves someone on their side, to fight for them and to support them. If you can be that person, you will change their life."

City Year Mentor West Midlands

The difference you can make...

£12.80

could contribute towards the daily travel expenses of a City Year Mentor, making sure they can be in school for the pupils who rely on their support.

Support the #One28Challenge!

£64

could fund a day of leadership development training for one of our mentors.

Help us tackle educational inequality.

£128

could enable a volunteer to run a set of four 1:1 coaching sessions with a pupil in need of individual support, focused on boosting their self-belief and academic attainment.

Make a donation to support our volunteers.

Every donation we receive, and each amount you raise, will be matched 1:1 by one of our partners. This means, including Gift Aid, for every £128 you raise, City Year will gain £320!

Teamwork

"In February, for our second Social Action Project, we went bigger and better. We raised money to buy books for our school library, as the library needed a big refresh and we did this by completing a sponsored walk of over 5 miles. We raised a whopping £515 and donated over 100 books!" - Mo, City Year Mentor
