More children than ever before in Manchester need our support

“Manchester is the main financial and business hub in Northern England and one of the fastest growing cities in the UK in terms of wealth growth over the past 10 years. Manchester is and always will be a game changer of a city. However, what this means is the socio-economic gap across the city is growing and more children than ever before in Manchester need our support.
As Programme Manager for Greater Manchester and previously an Assistant Headteacher in schools across the North West, I am thrilled to lead a regional programme of committed young people that came together to give opportunities for the positive development of children in this wonderful city we call Manchester. To see the difference they make in our schools is so heartwarming and to see our mentors grow as future leaders is so inspiring that if they are representative of future CEOs, politicians, teachers and leaders, no matter what economic uncertainty we face, I know that the future is in safe hands.”
